Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

I wish you all happy holidays and a peaceful Christmas time!
The next days will be a slow time on the blog as we're working our way through the holidays, the kid's 3rd birthday, and new year, with all the family and friend's visits that come with it. Back to business next year - enjoy the silence :)

  2. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family Sabine!

    PS

Contrary to Stefan, in every picture of yours you publish from time to time you look quite different. I don't think I would recognise you with 100% certainty if I see you in the street by chance:-)

  3. Thanks :) That's because I'm actually three different people. One who blogs and writes papers, one who raises the kids, and the third one just sleeps and eats. Should wake her up now, time to visit the grandparents...

Which one did Stefan marry? :-)

  5. The red-headed daughter has almost the same colour hair I had when I was that age. They became slightly darker with age. Now, due to chemotherapy, the nice colour has gone (though it's still in the non-grey parts of the beard) and I'm becoming bald on top. :-(

  7. Aw... surrender to the curls! (And to the gradients and divergences, too.)

Merry, merry, merry - light into all dark corners.

  9. Lovely pic :) I won't enjoy the silence... I have the same setup as you have, in family-wise, hence *no* silence for me :D

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  11. "Merry Christmas"? What kind of a physicist wishes "Merry Christmas?" Haven't Steven Weinberg, Stephen Hawking, Lawrence Krauss and a huge number of the top physicists made it very clear that religion and its customs are utter foolishness?

  14. Ashish,

Christmas is a tradition. It has in our household no religious meaning. It's a time for the family to spend time together. I fail to see what Lawrence Krauss has to do with that.

  15. Why so serious Sabine, it was a light humor about the physics vs. religion game that been going on. Sabine says: "It [Christmas] has in our household no religious meaning." Well, as long as you are an atheist then you are on the side of the physicists...means you have nothing to worry about from Steven Weinberg, Stephen Hawking, Lawrence Krauss.
